Akshay Kumar’s daughter is named Nitara Khanna Bhatia

Akshay Kumar has named his newborn after his late superstar father-in-law, Rajesh Khanna, who passed away in July this year. The couple has decided to call their daughter Nitara Khanna Bhatia.

‘Khanna’ is included in Nithara’s name to pay a special tribute to Rajesh Khanna, reports HT. Akshay Kumar was blessed with a baby girl on September 25 when Twinkle Khanna delivered at Breach Candy Hospital in South Bombay. Since then there were speculations about the baby’s name.

Akshay Kumar has a 10-year-old son named Aarav -- a Sanskrit word -- and now he has named his daughter Nitara, which again is a Sanskrit name, meaning luminous.

A grand home-coming was planned for Nitara on September 29, and Akshay expressed his joy on twitter by posting a picture of his home. When his daughter was born, he tweeted, “There is no greater feeling in life than holding ur Baby for the first time. I wish I could express more about how HAPPY I am right now, but I'm at a loss of words....I must Thank You all for ur ...”

Akshay Kumar married Twinkle Khanna in 2001. After a boy and a girl their family is complete.
